Is it worth the risk to save 76p/month?
Line rental - £9.99/month (76p cheaper than BT [DD payment, online only billing]);
Caller Display - £1.50/month (£1.39 more than BT if you take account of the 2 chargeable calls BT requires you to make to get it free);
Free evening and weekend calls of up to 60 minutes to UK 01/02 numbers (similar to the fee-free Primus Saver Option 2 CPS package - except they have a 90 minute call limit and you don't have to surrender your line rental to them);
Cheap international calls? You are kidding!
China - 16p/minute (the MSE International Callchecker has at least 3 gateway providers with ½p/minute rates);
Spain - 8p/minute (the MSE International Callchecker has one gateway provider with a ½p/minute rate and at least 6 others with 1p/minutes rates);
Weekday daytime calls to a '3' mobiles - 21p/minute (18185 will do that for 6p/minute).
If you're looking to save money on your voice telephony, please click on the 'HERE' link in my signature below for some (IMHO) better ways to do so.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
