Rock of Ages

If anyone is looking for a good night out in London then I highly recommend Rock of Ages at the Shaftesbury Theatre. We paid £25 a ticket on lastminute.com - although if you have a fear of heights do not sit in the grand circle as very steep!!! and had one of the best nights!!! it is by far the best show I have ever been to and the cast are amazing. Even caught a few of them coming out of the stage door after and they were only too happy to have pics and sign autographs including Shane Ward!!

Justin Lee Collins is fabulous and has a pretty good voice too!

:j Cannot wait to see this again!
Became a first time buyer quite unexpectedly in June 2013!! :j

The dayseat price is £25 for the front 2 rows, just turn up by 10am on the day you want to go, max 2 tickets per person. The queues havnt been massive so no need for an ultra early start.

Its a terrible musical, but great fun.
  • I was going to see this but read terrible reviews. Is it really ok?

I loved it. I didn't think it was the best show I've ever seen. We Will Rock You to me was better and so was Spamalot, but this is right up there with the top shows, better than Wicked, Legally Blonde.etc
  • It's good fun. There were lots of hen parties there when we went, and if you have any memories of 80s rock then you'll probably enjoy it.

We had a great time- in fact I preferred it to we will rock you as it had more music variety! Horses for courses though. It has good humour and great music- ok story is a bit lame but to be honest so are a lot of musicals based on music rather than a book etc. I can see it becoming more popular now the film has been made and the film has a huge cast so it's bound to lift theatre sales with it
