Take the S 13 from Airport to Hauptbahnhof (main railway station). At this time of night leaving at 23/00/01 hours at 04 and 34 minutes.
The chocolate museum is on an island down river between Deutzer and Severins bridge. Number 61 on the map:

It's about 20-25 minutes walk from the railway station, but at his time of night you might be better off with a taxi.
Taxis are reliable and highly regulated. I wouldn't worry.0 -
what are the trains like at night are they safe?0

Trains are regular and are pretty safe in Clogne. I would have no problems taking them0

I would suggest you take the train to Dusseldorf - about 40 minutes. Lovely town contrasting old and new modern architecture. Great Shopping area, nice restaurants. Visited at Christmas and looking forward to returning.SallyD0

Visit the Dom (Cathedral) in the main square. We bombed it in WWII and it still bears the scars but its an awesome building. Climb up to the top for some fantastic views of the city. The old town nearby is best for the nightlife.Vedra Nativa0
