Help with split ticketing

Hi, can anyone help me with the cheapest tickets with the fewest stops on the following:
Nottingham to Southampton Feb 10th arriving before 19.00
Southampton to Nottingham Feb 11th departing after 16.00
for 2 adults 1 has a 16-25 railcard

With those times and dates, If you go via London (London St P then underground to London Waterloo) you can do the journey for £89.65 Return using advance singles.

If you want to avoid London (less changes, normally one at Derby) you can do the journey for £115.65 Return using advance singles.

Another option is Nottingham to London St P (from £21.60 each way) then use an Oyster card (£4) or Cash (£8.60) to pay for the underground to London Waterloo then use Megabus (they do Trains as well) to travel from London Waterloo to Southampton (from £2 each way)
