Thinking of a DRO in January

Options
Hi I am thinking of applying for a DRO this month as i it seem the only way for me to move forward.
I have about £4650 with 3 creditors
I have 7 PDL total £2630

Now i know this is bad and should have not got the PDL but i was robbing Peter to pay Paul if you know what i mean.

I do have a job but the PDL take all my income and i'm always overdrawn at the bank

My questions are
Do the people who organise the DRO contact work, rent co. utilities etc to clarify what you owe/pay to them
What can you include in your living costs with a DRO
How quick after you have paid your £90 do you get an answer
What do you do in the mean time about your creditors

Thanks Tony

Work, no, unless you already have an attachment of earnings order
rent, no unless you have rent arrears
utilities, no unless you have arrears

Your intermediary will have 'trigger figures' and will guide you on this. If you think anything might be regarded as excessive/not allowed, post here or pm me.

It isn't necessarily submitted at the same time you pay £90. Your intermediary hears usually the day after it is submitted. It goes on to the IS website the day after this.

What do you do in the mean time about your creditors

You have to treat them equally so I would recommend not paying any of them

    Thanks Tony

The other thing is if you are overdrawn then that goes in as a debt and you will need a new account unconnected with your debts
  • Thanks Fatbelly for all your info it seems you know your stuff
