Featherstone Court looks reasonable for the price & area but is a bus route from Rail Links into Central London & on a busy road.

Personally I wouldn't touch anything in the Brewery Complex with a barge pole but that's because I'm getting a bit middle aged
Having said that, It's (very) close to bars, pubs, shops etc & only a short walk to the Mainline station for travel into the City so that is an advantage.

I would consider looking further out into Essex if you are looking for value for money, are you particularly stuck on Romford?

    Hello

Yes you are correct Featherstone Court the flat I am interested in is off the main road. I have viewed some of the flats in featherstone court that face the main road and I you could hear the taffic going by and it was really loud.

Oh right so you think that Brewery complex is a no good? Is that becuase it is full of young people? I am 25 now so kind of in the middle! I need somewhere it iwill be easy to communte into central london but is not to far away on the train. Preferbally in a london borough if possible!

I iwll have a look at the other links

    Thank you very much

Most people, when they buy their first property, will get something small and affordable. Then possibly move to something larger as their salary increases, and/or they buy with a partner.
I'm aware of that, but the OP seems to be thinking (very) long term.

Good Luck anyway whatever you decide.
  • Thank you very much.

So basically it seems that new builds are not a good investment as they devalue in price. So maybe moving furhter out of london is a better then liviing furhter. Its such a tough desicion to make! I think i may well stat looking further out towards Essex. It seems to make more sense now reading all of these posts.

    Thanks you everyone who responded.

    Hi Yasmin,

Travel time from Grays to Fenchurch Street is approx 40mins, Chafford Hundred is approx 35.

If you want to stay in a London Borough then check out other areas of Havering, eg. Hornchurch, Elm Park, Gidea Park etc.
Thanks to all who post comps :A :T
