I got 8 of the AirWick candles and when they asked me why I had so many (although the correct answer is none of your beeswax!) I said they were going to be part of a table centrepiece at a wedding anniversary party! 8 tables = 8 candles!
wine needs less of an excuse! I've got 4 bottles of champagne in the past and told them we had 4 promotions at work and I was told to buy them by my boss!
I know some poeple feel a little nervous with DTDs so thought these might help?
I've been told twice by a helpful SA on a manned till "Wow ... that xxx is expensive!" I adopt a vacant/dumb expression (easily done) and say:- "Is it? Oh I haven't got time now but I'll go back around and check it ... I'll probably have to come back for a refund ... ha ha ha"
- "Dunno I was just asked to get them"

somebody was getting £10 meal deal yesterday and was at cs getting double the difference as the meal deal hadn't worked, between myself and my mse friend we tried 4 combinations and they all worked, got refund for mine said "oh i didn't realise it was only 2 portions, there is 4 in our family" next shop said "oh other half phoned and said he had bought 2 meal deals in other tesco's and has just told me and i don't have room in my freezer for them all"
guy at self serve said be careful some meal deals are not taking the saving off, we were thinking "go away we don't want them to work we want dtd back!" anyway hope somebody gets it somewherelost 9 stone since Feb 2011
