When my brother was little he was always shoving things up his nose, his favourite was those little hard sherbert pips. But that was easily rectified, my mum would sit him in front of the fire and they'd melt and come out:eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My DS goes through this like their's no tomorrow, seriously will be stashing this if I can find it:T

Not yet but hopefully some news today:)

Morning everyone, cloudy and miserable here today, hope everyones ok. Working today, then the fun begins tonight. I have persuaded my mum to have the internet connected which is being done today. I've told her that she can have my old lappie to start off so tonight I am going round to teach her how to use it and get her started on FB so as she can speak to her brother and sisters as they all use it. Wish me luck, she is an OAP and hasnt a clue!!:eek::eek::eek:

You certainly need good luck if she like my mum . She went on internet and i was on call all the time she couldnt grasp it . Guess who's got her netbook now :D But i don't use it i have my laptop.
  • OMG OMG morning everyone
Shaking here with disbelief, dunno if anyone remembers me mentioning a mystery ssa payment into my bank account.....well just off the phone with them and it seems theres been an error in my Carers allowance payments for 6 YEARS and they just back paid me:eek::eek:
So a couple more phonecalls and I will be debt free for the first time in my adult life!!!! And still have some left over......so drinks on me in HCs bar tonight

Right catching up now....have fun with your mum Nikki, we visited my aunt in the states for christmas a few years ago and she had talked about getting a laptop to keep in touch with everyone as she has not only us abroad but a few of her grandkids are in the forces, so we got her one for christmas, nothing fancy. Well within days this little white haired 80 year old was emailing me everyday completewith pics and smiley faces. Then she found facebook so we could chat online and we've even had a skype call or 2 so dont write her off just yet
