I'm also a lurker and i thought i'd share this what i just had in Mr T's, i've also posted on the main board.
DTD on Children's Clothing
Just bought 2 character t-shirts for my grandon at Mr t's
A lego Indiana Jones, and a Mario T-shirt, price stickered at £2.50
went through the tills at £5.50
So went to CS and was given £12.00 DTD no questions asked.
They mentioned there was a problem with trousers going through incorrectly as well.
So pleased i found something to share with you all, giving you a bargain in return0 -
scamps1966 wrote: »Afternoon everyone, Yes it was me who called Boots HO, But I didn't just speak to any old person! What I didn't add in my earlier posts was that it was my niece that I spoke to and in no way would she tell anyone about stopping it. I shouldn't feel the need to defend myself but I also think that with all the looks of disbelief we've all been getting off the SA's, don't you think thet they've said something?:(
Hi scamps
Sorry wasn't meaning to sound like I was having a go
You didn't say it was your niece in the original post
Of course the glitch was bound to be fixed and I'm surprised from reports of people being trouted it wasn't fixed earlier
Just didn't want to encourage people to contact HO about these glitches, in my humble opinion grab it while you can and pray it lasts as long as possible
I remember some peeps contacting online companies before with online glitches too worried they won't be honored, similarly I think with those you just have to suck it and see, if it's not honoured put it down to experience and move on to the next glitch, there'll be plenty more I'm sure
No hurt feelings I hope xxxGRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED

French_Knickers wrote: »Well I had my ECG today so just gotta wait now till all the results find their way to the doctors. The nurse who took it said it needed to be assesed by the specialist and a report done, but she looked at it and said it looked perfectly normal for a man of my age. Sounded ok to me.
Anyway I'd done the UK Biobank thing in march 2010 and had a hunch I'd done a lung function test so dug out the paperwork.
FEV1 value 4.06 litres
FVC value 6.04 litres
FEV1/FVC ratio 67%
To my untrained eye and a quick google, that doesn't look brilliant. Far from bad, but does seem to suggest all my years of smoking heavily did leave some residual damage.
Will have to see what the doc says now. **FK trembles nervously**
99% of the time it's never as bad as you think it's going to be FK, (((hugs))) though xxxUseful folding crates from Argos for all the 'stash'

I have used the black and grey versions of these for years, I LOVE them, I must own about 20, no idea what I'd do without them, they're such a brilliant invention!!Just back got a few more bits and my best vitamin glitch was paid £2 something, saved £31.99:T:T:TUsed £5 off voucher each time, I've got a fab stash of N07 stuff now. Can say this because I went to loads of Boots today so no one knows which one it was;)But a lovely SA heard me talking to my mum about the best way to use the £5 voucher and whispered to me do you need some. I said yes please and they handed me 6!!!!!!! Got to love a good SA, they said it's fine, half the people we give them to don't take them:eek::eek::eek::eek:
I must admit I have refused some in the past while I was trying not to buy stuff I didn't need, I refused one the other day because I've redeemed about 10 in the last 2 weeks and it's getting ridiculous now!No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

I've been a good girl lately, sharing and giving away stuff. Proof that karma is working:
Just made some Tesco Xmas Cupcakes...and mine had TWO sachets of brandy in the pack :T
AND the 3 Asda receipts I wombled all gave me about £1 each on the APG :T
AND the lady whom I offered my spare buggy footmuff to on Netmums collected on time with a dozen red roses for me :T
AND the Ovid TV stand I've just bought IS compatible with the IKEA BESTA castors so I can wheel it out of the way when the kids are running riot :T
Hooray for once.:starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0 -
Hello Nic and welcome to the madhouse!!
You have just "given" by mentioning the starwars blaster thingy!! Any chance of a barcode?..just the last four digits please.Westvleteren wrote: »Hi Nic. Nice to see another from NE Scotland we could do with a boost to our numbers. Please do not lurk anymore. Which stores do you visit?
Thanks for the welcome
The last 4 digits of blaster are 9231
I normally just go to Huntly, Elgin and Inverurie. Tbh I get most bargains in Huntly. ( I know you normally use * in store names, but I'm not talking about a glitch, should I still use them? ):santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Afternoon all
How many people have had success with the meal deal not working? I feel tempted to try it out, did it last time with the risotto (which was disgusting might I add) but lasagne sounds nicer!!0 -
EVERYONE FOUND THEIR WAY BACK FROM THE BOOTS VITAMINS THREAD THEN?
Just a heads up to all you seasoned Mr Ters. Teh glitch may well be over but you CAN still get the vitamins free and not the one per transaction people are saying on the glitch forum. Basically if the sign is still up saying free shot with every vitamin purchase then you are entitled to a free shot for EVEY vitamin purchase. May not take money off rest of your bill but still get a free shot - this does not go through till automatically and confuses the hell out of the staff - manager spent 15mins today trying to work it out and then I had to tell her how to put it through the till - but all in all £15 for 15 shots, 15 vitamins 9 including Ricolas, toothpaste, mouthwash, mens toiletry set on 75% sale so still damn good value!!0 -
Westvleteren wrote: »Yep it is Princesswoo, but I or someone else on this thread might be able to answer your question.
Caught up in record time this morning.oh no!!!!!:(:(:(:(
mum just asked me if i could get her her very expensive vits reduced a bit using the glitch, usually about £16 per box
can i make myself v unpopular and ask why someone rang Boots HO about it yesterday (or were they just joking), i mean I am sure the managers are aware but it doesn't help if we ring up to advise them of the glitch:mad:
ok goes to hide under the tableShould I take myself to the naughty step?
Anyway * massive hugs* to those in need, bensonsmum, 3dogs and everyone else who's name has escaped me right now.
Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end0 -
SpiralingDown wrote: »Both myself and friendly SA I was talking to spotted a lady swaping No7 stuff and putting it into a pack that would have scanned at £2!!!
Security and till ladies were informed and guard spoke to the woman and took the 2 sets off her. Told her that till ladies would be checking EVERY pack that was being bought today because a number of people were being spotted doing this and if she done it again she would be banned. I think she was only saving a few pounds.
It is only greed that makes people do this especially as they were the cheaper sets anyway.
That is greed and stupidity, I noticed several of the 2 or 3 piece sets yesterday had bits missing, someone had obviously been pocketing them or putting them in together!SaverSavvy123 wrote: »Evening everyone, hope you are all ok and those that went to Boots didnt get too battered and bruised! Have a lot of catching up to do, not sure if it has already been mentioned but the
Dettol Handwash system and the refills are both half price in Morrisons at the moment. I know some have been refilling the refill but you may want to go and buy one.
Oh and thanks Karlie88 my wine arrived today Yay!!!
Any news on HC - it really is not quite the same on here without him. ((HUGS)) HC if you are lurking.
Thanks for this but speaking personally there's no way I'm paying even £1.50 for a handwash refill, can't believe anyone would pay £3.05, talk about a rip-off!
