Just read a really good idea on the Boots sale thread that I'm going to pass on before I disappear. If you're going to 75% sale in the morning take a big ikea bag to put your stuff in while you're shopping, saves having to squeeze it all in those piddly baskets;);)Not that I'm intending buying much! :rotfl::rotfl: Simple idea but so good, off now to find my ikea blue bags;)
Plenty of Per Una`s:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:or a T`s trolley

quite simple really
2lb washed rosehips
2lbs sugar
3pts boiling water.
mince or chop rosehips well then add to pan of 1.5pts boiling water when boiling well turn of heat and leave for 15 mins to infuse.
then strain through jelly bag or muslim .
return the rosehip pulp to pan with another 1.5pts water and boil a second time to get all the goodness out then leave for 15 mins again then strain through jelly bag for a second time.
wash the pan then put both lots of juice into it and reduce by about half. Then remove from heat and add sugar and stir until sugar is disolved then bottle into clean sterilised bottles
hope this is clear as i do not write recipes down
Many thanks for this. My mum used to make apple snow, basically stewed apples, with rose hip syrup added, was always gorgeous!
Made my first butter this eveningFound 600ml of double cream for 29p at the Co-op, so just had to give it a go!

Childhood memories - we used to live in a village next to Gatwick Airport - Lowfield Heath. (the airport bought up the village except the church & we all had to move) So my childhood memories are of being able to harvest the hay on the sides of the runwayGoing into the airplane hangars & playing inside the planes :T Laker Airways was the best hangar as it had a rickshaw inside it :rotfl:We had NAS (National Airport Services?) behind our house. They did all the airline catering. We regularly went on school trips with 'special' packed lunches. Tiny BOAC salt & pepper pots
