SNAP!!
I get moaned at for making cakes and all things "not quite diet friendly" but I enjoy it and its not as if I sit in the corner and stuff my face with whatever it is that i've made! I share it around and often take loads to work too...and i tell them that if my waistline is going to expand, then theirs can too :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I never, ever thought i would be one of those people who would say that they actually like baking and cooking for other people, but i do. it makes me feel good :j
PS- those cakes look gorgeousI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Just imputed the receipts I wombled, worked out my £70 shop (split into £40 and £30 lots) cost me £15 after MoC till spits T's Money card for a DTD refusal and a DTD
I had 2 jtd vouchers plus with other coupons my £60 shop cost me £35 which mr meerkat was impressed with.:)
Got scundered at mr a...printed 10 persil/comfort coupons to buy the 21wash comfort pure & 10 wash non bio liquitabs....the sa called till supervisor, which took 10 mins on it's own, and while I'm standing (36wks pregnant with extreme swelling) the sa lays all my coupons out individually, and loudly claims he's never seen so many coupons etc etc....I'm getting redder and redder as I've never actually had an issue with multiple PDF coupons before. He even started saying that there was nothing on the coupons to say they were for persil or comfort (I think what he really meant was there was no picture on them to help him figure out if they are being used against the right product)... Anyway when the supervisor arrived she quickly said I could only use one coupon for each item in one transaction, and no I couldn't put them through in 10 separate transactions. Apparently the manager made this rule up yesterday:mad::mad:
I'm emotionally unstable at this stage, my darling meerkat had been with me, going on, and on, and on, and on about wanting sweet, a ham sandwich....but stop at customer services on the way out as I want the manager to personally answer for my embarrassment...after all there are no signs limiting the number of items each customer can purchase, nor the number of coupons allowed per transaction! It wasn't like I was using the coupons to buy milk & cheese:o:o anyway, turns out the lady I had asked to find me more of the persil out the back was the duty manager and she seemed bemused that I'd been refused and told the customer service advisor to put the other 9 through for me (I was in tears at this stage)....she went down to the till I'd been served at & came back with the persil but no comfort, I decided to let the comfort slip as I don't use softener normally and I just needed to get out and have a seat.
And here's the stupid thing...I joined the asda baby club and got the coupon for the free huggies starter kit which I also had in my trolley...the kit is reduced to £3 but the coupon scanned at £5 so they were happy to allow me a free £2 towards other items but were refusing to allow me to use the coupons against the actual items....my money saving escapades are going to send me into early labour at this rate :eek::eek:Baby meerkat...born 9.10am 31/1/12 - now a fully fledged monster meerkat.
New Baby meerkat due 09/09/20130 -
Hi everyone in the bar I have a very special request from the manager. He's just asked me if you'll get him a Havana Club and Coke.....you'd better make it snappy....he's watching you

That's awful, hope you are feeling a bit better about things now, not good to get too upset when you are so pregnant.0 -
