Like Vikkilala, I decided I'd travel further afield today so headed to Plymouth.
Stopped at L££ Mill on the way down hoping to find some of the £1 telescopes and stuff. Zilch!! But I did get some really nice gift sets reduced and BOGOF
I got Extracts Body butters 3 in a wicker tray £3 BOGOF
Extracts pampering duo (pomegranite/rosehip) shower gel and body cream in pump dispensers in a brown package £2 BOGOF
Floral secrets hot water bottles (blue with white spots) £4 BOGOF
I also found some Fly killers (took 4) Andrex on the go (last 2)
Pizza coasters 9p x 2 (loads there)
Bin odour thingy
And I've never found the cheap pillows FK got but treated myself to some of the duck feather ones they had on offer a while back at £12
I then went to Plymouth Rob0r0ugh where I found two of the portable DVD players that scan at £22. I've bought one and if anyone wants the other ( the box is pretty battered though) PM me and I'll tell you where it's hidden itself!
Lots of the Xmas craft stuff....they had loads there all reduced sels so easy to spot.
AND.....the basic midget gems ( my lot love these!) are now 16p a bag, so I stocked up on them.
I'd not at this point seen any of the mugs, winnie the pooh cuddly's etc. smints, haribo's or the other more common finds.....so decided I'd go to the Superstore in Trans1t W&y Plymouth. Got directions from the CS desk and was told it would take me about 10 mins.
I GOT LOST!!!! I've now seen parts of Plymouth I never knew existed....but could I find Bl00dy Trans1t W&y!!
I decided to give up and head for home.....easier said than done...I kept seeing the A38 dual carriageway in the distance but I'm bu88ered if I could find my way back to it....and because I hardly ever go anywhere, i don't have Sat Nav!!
Did find a nice big Morrisons (God knows where it was!) but the traffic was horrendous getting into the car park so i gave up on that one.
Please someone from Plymouth tell me I've not missed anything good in Transit Way T's!!
I have just PM'd you.
I am planning a raid on T's tomorrow. I will let you know if i find anything decent in Trans*t W*y.
Its not as big as the other 2, but will let you know. That was the only place i found the Dormens nuts for 1p.

Gemini - a couple of months ago I was at CS at Mr T. The SA was wrapping up a chicken and putting it in a fridge behind the desk. We started chatting and she said that someone had bought it fresh, taken it home and cooked it but it was "gone off." The SA said that they had to record it and retain it. She also said that the packaging had probably broken on it when it was in storage.0

Do you argue with your sat nav?? I do lol I say "ahhhh shurrup ya mad bint its this way"
Then when she tell me to make a U-turn I tell her, "no, I won't" :rotfl:
I do argue with it:rotfl::rotfl:And then it says about 4 times "in 200 yards turn left, in 100 yards turn left, turn left" and I find myself trying to say it first and beat it. What really drives me mad is sometimes it takes ages to recalibrate a route or whatever it is, so I just ignore it, then when I get where I'm going it says "You have arrived" and then I usually swear at it!! Because it hasnt helped me at all.HappyChappy84 wrote: »Yeah, I miss my dog as she lives with mum and sis. She is soo good though, when the postie arrives she will go out, jump up to the window and the postie puts the post in her mouth and she brings it in. We tried to train Bertie to do it but once he got it in his jaws he ran off with it and shredded it.
Terrapins are something else I would love but I wouldn't have them in a million years due to how long they live.
Terrapins are funny and mine are quite tame. You have to turn their light off at night so they go to sleep and in the morning as soon as they see someone walk past they stand on their back legs against the front of the tank till you put the light on and feed them:)HappyChappy84 wrote: »:rotfl::rotfl:Beware!!!! Cooked mine yesterday in a slow cooker, it smelt a bit when I took it out of the wrapper but the smell when it was cooking was disgusting. We couldn't bring ourselves to eat it todayI'm not keen on pork so rarely buy it....but I've heard my mum complaining that her pork is tasting "a bit piggy"!!!! I think she means strong....and it may be if the pig is killed when it's in season.
It could be the stuff they've fed it on that's making it taste funny....but i would definitely complain....especially with pork...one of the worst things for food poisoning, so good thing you didn't take any chances. The only supermarket we buy meat from is Morrisons. We don't like it from anywhere else. The worst meat I've ever bought is from Asda, swimming in water when you cook it. So we only buy meat from Morrisons now.
Thanks for the advice, there were more comments too but would not allow me to quote everyone...Have taken it out of the bin as was suggested and will call CS tomorrow, will let you all know what they say. Thank-you all, so nice to have your advice:):)
Issyc...Think I will stick to Morrisons in future for meat..never had a bad piece from there..:):)Born to glitch0 -
