Try rinsing your laundry with vinegar pinksk8 as it helps to break down the alkalis in soap and detergents. Helps to freshen up your laundry and the drum of the machine as well. Have a look here for how much to use. I'm sure you could also make a new enquiry about this too if you feel you need to.

I got a 100 wash box of Surf in B&M Swansea today for £9.99. Usually use Lidl's powder.

Hubby brought med sized sainsbury basic for £1.76 says 30washes but dare say use less and get 60washes so quite cheap will get back to you on performance!

Surf - 2Kg (25 wash powder) is £3.00 in Asda at the mo (12p per wash. The liquid is also on offer - this is 28 washes at 10p ish a wash.

I swear by Surf as you can get away with using less and I live in a hard water area. Smells lovely as well :-)

I've just noticed some of the Fairy non bio is also on offer in Asda as weel.

If you have a B&M Bargains near you, try checking there from time to time as they appear to sell 100 washes from time to time as was pointed out a couple of times on here. Appears to be quite frequent as well apparently. Sorry if I sound like I'm repeating what others have already pointed out though after reading what n0438 has pointed out in post #26 it reminded me that B&M Bargains did actually have surf 100 washes for £9.99 just over a week ago.

I also pointed out previously that Sainsbury's were selling Fairy Non Biological Powder - 72 Washes (5.76Kg) for £10 reduced from £20. Thought I'd give this a heads up seems n0438 has mentioned Fairy on offers at ASDA. Offer in Sainsbury's ends 17/01/2012.

The only offers I can see in ASDA for Fairy are Fairy Non Biological Tablets - 20 Washes (40) £4.50 reduced from £5.49 and Fairy Non Bio Liquitabs - 10 Washes (10) 2 for £5. These appear to be cheapest.
