Indeed. Policy excess will be more than that.
However might be worthwhile if a replacement oven is needed.0 -
Fair point. There's actually TWO bits of glass (probably) - the internal heat shield (which just slides in place) and the external door glass (which is not necessarily easily user-fitted).0

giraffejoe,
I know that this is unverified, and you may have already found it on the internet, but it may be worth printing it out then contacting your builder & Howdens (although as already mentioned, they have no obligation to you, only to the original purchaser).
It might also be worth contacting Trading standards and giving them a copy.

Just some of the many comments on this one website, all refering to Lamona ovens, and mainly the HJA3300.
my inner glass has just shattered again
These ovens Lamona HJA3300 are so dangerous I had mine installed as part of a wheelchair accessible kitchen, its just exploded in my face
Had the same problem contacted the manager at local branch of Howdens
Hi.. I am posting this up because I have a Lamona oven from Howdens which was fitted 18 months ago.. tonight the inner glass exploded all over the inside of the oven and the dinner I was cooking
Same happened to me over the weekend,
My oven was the Lemona HJA 3300 supplied by Howdens0
