Could someone please recommend good bathroom taps please, I am currently searching for a new bathroom and am almost there apart from the taps, I currently have mira taps that matched the shower and have to say they are excellent but there is only 2 to choose from.
I found some tc ones I liked on Aquabliss but have read tc bathrooms may be low quality? although they come with a lifetime guarantee.
I am looking for a basin tap and I like the bath/shower 4 hole taps but they are about £400.
Thanks for any advice

Mine were from Eastbrook (they only supply the trade so you will have to find a retailer), They are good quality and not cheap but not £400. There is an e-catalogue on the website which shows their full range.

I like the Bristan range. Search on Ebay for Bristan taps. They look good quality and prices seem competitive.0

Thanks, are they good quality, or do they just look it?0 -
Bristan are good. Nothing amazing but they are reasonably priced, look ok and won't (shouldn't) start dripping after 2 weeks. Just don't be tempted by cheap taps off ebay (won't do that again

Have you tried your local Grahams merchant? I got great deals on taps there.0

Ive got Cooke and Lewis from B&Q, super taps with shower head £97.......just had a roll top bath fitted with these taps, very pleased.:D0

Bristan are decent and reasonably priced and in the event of any problem spare parts are readily available.
If you do not have a high pressure hot water system (combi boiler, megaflow etc.) just be sure that any tap you buy is suitable for a low pressure system. Many are not, particularly mono basin mixers. If you have a high pressure tap on a low pressure system, your hot water will only dribble out of the tap0 -
Try Screwfit for some good bargains, and also look at your local plumbers merchants. You should be able to pick up matching bath/shower and basin taps for under £150, and they should be good quality.
Make sure to check what the water pressure is in your area, because different taps require different minimum pressure.0 -
I've never had modern taps go wrong for me, some were cheap and some where not, not sure what to look out for in taps?0
