My mother (65) is looking for a new gas cooker. Something on the lines of seperate oven and grill.
Nothing to dificult to operate. Any idea's around £250. Anyone bought a new one recently and pleased with it? also company to install it and possibly take away the old one.
Thanks

All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

I've been looking for a gas cooker the last couple of weeks. I haven't finally decided on a which yet but Currys seem to have good prices if you include the cost of removal and installation. I can't remember the exact amount (head stuffed with cooker reviews) but around 80 pounds. They do display it clearly instore.'Yaze whit yeh hive an ye'll niver wahnt'

Forgot to say I looked at the Which? reports in the library this morning and their 4 best buy in the freestanding cooker category only had one gas cooker - the Zanussi ZCG561FW with a target price of 276 pounds. In another report Zanussi and Indesit came out top brands? in which tests and customer ratings.'Yaze whit yeh hive an ye'll niver wahnt'

What type are you looking for?
Something like this?

or an eye level grill like this

My mum had something like the first one, but changed it a while later, due to having to bend down really low to get things out the oven, she swapped it for an eye level version.
Instead of just looking at comet/currys etc, have a look in your local Euronics centre. They have the same buying power through the manufacturers as the sheds, but are independantly owned and open to deals. They will most likely charge you less for fitting ( £50 and take old one away for example)

I haven't bought any white goods from anyone else than my local store in 15 years, even bought my TV and they dont carry them in store, I trust them that much !0
