Recording TV programmes on a USB Memory Stick

Hi folks
I have recently bought a new TV and after reading the manual it seems that I can record programmes on a USB Memory Stick. The TV has a USB port.
My question is - Does the USB Stick have to be of a certain memory capacity for programmes to be recorded on it, or can it be a standard one - the types which can be used to record files from a PC?
Thanks

Hi
It is a widescreen TV and the make is ISIS.0 -
If it's recording Freeview's mpg streams then you'll need about 700MB to 1.7GB an hour, depending upon which channel you're recording and the time of day.0

Will it take a USB connected hard drive in a caddy? Might prove a more sensible option and will certainly prove a lot better value in terms of £ per megabyte.0
