Have you got anyone that could act as a guarantor? There is company called FLM loans who will give you a 3k loan if you can get someone who is a homeowner to be your guarantor. Its not ideal and the APR is not great but it might get you out of your current situation?

PS some of the comments on here are rather rude and critical and not at all helpful really. If you have nothing to add then why bother to reply with a nasty comment other than to get your post count up?

If that is the case you would be better of to borrow it directly off the homeowner who could get a much cheaper loan. The risks would be exactly the same.

Trying to convince someone to get absolutely fleeced is hardly advice, in fact it is so far detached from advice it really should be removed.

In fact, repaying loans with subsequent loans all of a sudden seems the cheaper option that what you are suggesting.

I read as far as, "i need a loan so I have money to repay the loan" bit.
I thought the same. Erm, ... What?
Wow - didn't expect all these replies so quickly. Thank you everyone except Apples2, any need for that, really?
In the interests of fairness and balance, Thank you Apples.
Good advice about taking the qualifications off my C.V. - didn't think about that before.
You'll have to be sharper than that to get on over on today's HR people. If you're applying for cleaning jobs drop the degree and the rest of your quals and say you've been cleaning for the last 3 years.

That is by far and away the worst idea I've ever heard. Don't even consider it. As a way of raising cash its topped in the stupidity stakes only by the idea of selling your own children.

I don't see any rude comments, but you could try offering better advice.

I guess from the fact that you wrote immediately after one of my posts means that your PS may have been aimed at me. I don't think any of my comments have been nasty, and my initial (and I thought helpful) suggestion of the OP taking in a lodger has been ignored by him. It may not be as spectacular as getting him to involve a friend in being his guarantor for a £3000 loan at a high rate of APR, but I think it more sensible.
