No idea if this is the right forum for this but I need to get it off my chest!
I ordered a kettle and toaster set from 24/7 electrical.com having gone through greasy palm and done all the other money saving stuff. I put the order in on 12 Feb (this after I'd tried to buy same product from Amazon but they hadn't delivered after 3 weeks) Every time I checked the order was being "processed" in their words - your card has been debited your goods are being picked. Finally got fed up of waiting and sent an e-mail asking where goods were. Sent another e-mail and another and yet another. Finally cancelled order, was told cancellation would show up on my account. Account continued to show "processing" Got credit card statement yesterday - you can guess the rest can't you. Debit was made on day of order - this is the first company I've dealt with that takes your money without sending you the goods (have I been lucky or just dealt with nice companies in the past)
Contacted company by phone, kept waiting for 20 minutes, told a credit had gone to my credit card company, phone call to credit card company confirmed this but also confirmed that if I don't want to incur interest charges I will have to pay this amount even though they know I have a credit for this amount sitting in my account GRRRRRRRRR
24/7 not helpful, not sympathetic, will never buy from them again even if they are the cheapest. Bad service costs money.
And while I'm here
Scottish Power sent a letter to its on line customers telling them about a price increase. I didn't get a copy and quite reasonably asked for a copy to be sent only to be told that they didn't have any copies. I had no idea they did everything by quill and ink! Has anyone else had this bizzare problem?

I too have been waiting for electricals from this company. I ordered an oven and hob 3 weeks ago. Same old story - continual 'processing' jargon on the site and no-one to talk to. Went to review my order (again) tonight and they are having so-called technical difficulties and the store is CLOSED. How frustrating, I've a mind to send them the receipts from my take-away orders !!!!!!!!!!! How frustrusted !!! Doesn't look like the company's customer service policy has changed in over 3 years, given the original post was in 2005 !!!0

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies.
