LLoyds TSB Overdraft charges!! HELP!!

Options
HELP!!

I'm a student and I recently went over my overdraft by a really small amount and now Lloyds believe I should be charged £90!! for the privilege. I'm student so there is no way I can afford to pay these charges obviously so I don't know what to do.

I have had so much trouble with Lloyds in the past, they decided to once change my account type from Student to a Classic account without informing me and all I got from them is a sorry but there is nothing we can do. I then went into another branch and they managed to sort it out and sent me a hand written letter apologising and stated I would not have to pay any more charges in the future, sigh of relief.

However, I have now got charged again and I really cannot afford to pay these charges and Lloyds TSB clearly don't give a toss.

Where do I go from here?

Cheers :)

Having a letter from your bank saying you won't have to pay any more charges in the future must be like having a genie in a bottle:D

However, sooner rather than later, why not make an appointment to see the manager of your own branch (not a cashier) and show him the letter? Say you need to sort this matter out before it gets out of control and ask if he will waive all the charges on this occasion. Promise not to go your limit again and tell him you will manage your account carefully in the future.

If you haven't had any charges waivered or refunded in the past twelve months you should be able to get charges - not the £5 monthly usage fee, but daily charges - waivered, providing your account is back either in credit or within your agreed overdraft limit. Maybe when you're seeing about this you might want to consider the free text alert service to let you know when you're overdrawn, if this has gone on long enough to get you £90 in charges? :)

Work out why you have gone into your overdraft in the first place and not do it again?
