Good places for cheap sofas?

Options
We need a new sofa as our osteopath has told both me and OH our backs are bad because our sofa has broken. We knew it had broken a bit but not what it was doing to our health!

I have looked at sofasofa and they seem to be cheap, and I think they are OK quality, but is there anyone else? OH won;t look at Argos because their quality is often rubbish, and Ikea has nothing very nice, or very cheap.

Before I order the sofasofa one, can you suggest anywhere else we could look?

We want to spend around £300 on a 3 seater, because in a few years we will be remodelling our house (when we come into some money which we know will happen but not yet) so it might not be what we want when we do that.

I had a colleague who had been very pleased with oakridge sofas, and they are reasonably priced too.

We bought our last 2 sofas from http://www.odeonfurniture.co.uk/

They are part of the Sofa,Sofa group which also includes Oakridge direct. We haven't had any problems with them and our current sofas are about 8yrs old and still going strong.

not much help with an alternative but we bought our current sofas from sofasofa and they're great. had them over a year now and so far so good. they've got a big showroom in South Wales that's worth a look if you're anywhere near. I do think their "sale" prices are pretty much a permanent thing though.

We have sofasofa sofas and I'm not happy with them however I think that is mainly due to the style we chose rather tan quality. Friends also have them and theirs are fine. The ones we chose are too short in the depth of the seat and has a very low back so the cushion shift forward and the back cushions get squished down. I would definitely look at them again but would go to see them in wales or when they do their show in london.

DFS sell cheap sofas, unfortunately they charge too much for them.

I got my sofa from here http://www.nextdaysofas.co.uk/sofas/leather-sofas/ no probs with them they do other stuff apart from leather and it was delivered next day no hassle..I got a leather one but there are some fabric ones on there for less than £300
  • The problem with any furniture is that you need to try before you buy.
I work in a retail shop and some of it looks lovely, but being a shorty sometime it is not as comfy as it looks.
We were given some leather chairs from a friend which are really comfy to sit in (with the help of a few cushions for me - haha) but oh dear when I climb out I (ouch) ache to the door IYKWIM
I wish you well and hope you find something good.
Just an aside, not knowing where you live, but if you don't mind second hand, you local council may well have a recycle shop, we have one near me and some of their furniture is brilliant, and very good quality.
    xx
