Quiet Blackpool hotel?

Can anybody recommend a quiet hotel in Blackpool? I'm hoping to take part in the Great North West Run at the end of February and am looking for a place free from large groups of stag/hen parties etc. The last time I did a half marathon was in Liverpool and the hotel was full of them - only managed 2 hours sleep the night before! Would like to avoid that for this one
. Thanks in advance for your help.

Maybe have a look at hotels at the Bispham end of town. Much quieter than central Blackpool. There is a Premier Inn at the Red Lion on Red Bank Rd Bispham.0

You could also look at the small guest houses at Cleveleys, they are only a little bit further up the coast.0

When we went we stayed at the https://www.bigbluehotel.co.uk. Found this to be too expensive for the younger generation and was mainly business people and couples, was very comfortable.0

Edenfield Guest House in Cocker Lane - stayed here a couple of years ago and was very impressed. Quiet location and no groups of stag/hen parties taken in. Found this a lot better than more expensive hotels. Good luck with your run.0

As a resident I'd say look anywhere Gynn Square northwards, as far as Bispham - as you get to Cleveleys it becomes more residential, fewer hotels, some holiday flats. South of Gynn Square the hotels on the seafront are OK (including the Hilton and the Imperial) but parts of Dickson Road can be a bit iffy (still some little jewels hidden away though).
One word of warning - there will be no tram service until April, and the alternative bus service (number 1) can be (in our experience) either unreliable or overcrowded. (The tram closure is because we're getting brand new trams and they've got to be tested, drivers trained etc).Long-haul Supporters DFW 120

The Blackpool South Shore Travelodge is out the back of the football stadium and when I stayed in it was very quiet - unless there's a match on there doesn't seem to be an awful lot going on in that part of town, and it's about 15-20 minutes walk from the centre."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0
