Jet2 wesite issues

Has anyone else had problems booking flights online with jet2? I tried to book flights yeasterday but kept getting an error message saying to retry which i did. I then called the helpline at 10p per minute who told me to keep pressing retry which I did, eventually getting a message saying it was a problem with my bank. I tried with another card before giving up and calling the bank. It turns out that jet2 have charged me everytime I pressed retry £2050 in total for flights which should have cost £205! I have tried calling the contact centre to resolve the issue jsut to be told all they can do is email another deoartment. My bank say there's nothing they can do as I used a debit card. I have spent the whole weekend panicing about this as I dont seem to be able to get any closer to getting this huge amount of moneyback and do not know what to do.There have been alot of tears? Has anyone emse had similar problems with the jet2 site and if so how did you get them resolved. the irony is that I still dont actually have any tickets as the one thing the website was right about was that the booking has been unsuccessful - still happily took my money 10 times however! Oh and the call centre were aware of the webpage issue but still carry on taking bookings (still are so dont book - its dangerous!) and advised me to retry! Any advice apreciated thanks.

Although its a huge amount of money, try and calm down and not worry about it.

If you've not recieved email confirmations yet, then as you say it seems like the bookings were not succesful. In which case I would expect Jet2 to refund the money in due course (it may be that it has not been fully charged anwyay, just 'held' on your card).

If, for one reason or another you suddenly get 10 booking confirmations, then Jet2 should still cancel and refund, as THEY were the ones to instruct you to refresh the browser.

One thing is for sure, its the weekend and the only staff at Jet2 will be sales staff and not people from the technical and booking departments. So I doubt you'll get any sense from Jet2 until Monday.

Call them on Monday and be polite, yet firm until you get answers that you want. If you are not happy at the speed Jet2 are progressing talk to your bank and get them involved.

For now, try not to worry.

I had a similar problem with lastminute. Booked all the way through to confirmation e-mail and the website failed. The amount was only reserved, within 5 days the transaction had been cancelled.
