Thanks so much for the tip OP!
I got some wonderful stuff in my local this afternoon after church. I'm a youth worker and always on a tight budget to get supplies for the kids, but found boxes of make your own crackers/felt tree decs reduced from £3.00 a box to 63p! Picked up 5, absolutely heaps left. Tempted to get more! Also got box of £12 crackers reduced to £3, pack of 20 nice Christmas tags 20p, pack of lots of sparkly card/craft paper 38p. Beautiful tree decs too, bought 2 gold glittery crowns with faux pearls.
Also got 2 rolls of 20m wrapping paper, one with multi-coloured snowflakes, one with multi-coloured stripes (can be used for birthdays)- 80p each!
Very happy

Staff telling staff............for the reason of................"OH, we can grab the good stuff and put it to one side before it goes out to the public (hmmmmm...maybe a bit sceptical but....)
One of the benefits of working in retail! I think everyone on here would do the same!:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

Got some lovely gift bags and wrapping paper today but not seen crackers in ANY of the Tesco's I've been in including huge stores. Strange (and wee bit disappointing but still like the bargains I've got)If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:0

Still really expensive, are tesco just expecting people to buy it high ? Surely they can use that space to sell more profitable items0

Absolutely. There are very few other benefits!
I've worked in Netto, Kwik Save, Burger king and Asda and it really is the only benefit!
Fortunately I passed my PhD so don't have to now but I don't blame the staff for grabbing bargains; they're on **it money for a start!I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

I bought three of the multi-coloured stripes for birthdays and they went through as 3 for 2.
Yesterday in Bangor, North Wales they had small unberellas 75% off and some toys. Not in one specific place in store.0 -
I picked up xmas cards yesterday for 38p and 50p a box, and a lovely snowman tealight holder for £1.75.
All going up in the loft to be seen again next year.0 -
All the 75% wrapping paper is still 3 for 2 as well. Also a lot of the mugs with gifts and alcohol gift packs were 75% off0
