Outdoor Downlights

Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get some outdoor downlights/spotlights? Am after about 5, hopefully not too expensive.
OH is planning on putting them in our fascia/sophet to shine down on the glass so people can't see in so much (we are very overlooked at the back and sick of always having to close the blinds - esp at 4pm in the Winter!)
Hope someone can help :-)

I got nice ones in b&q a couple of years ago. Can't remember the exact price but they were very cheap0

Thanks. I'm looking on the website but can't seem to find any. Do you know if they are the ones used in decking??0 -
We used then on the fence - not sure if they were specifically for decking - sorry.0

Er, if they want to, of course.0 -
I'm not sure how that will help; if the light's on inside and it's dark outside, anyone will still be able to see in just the same.
Er, if they want to, of course.
It was on a DIY programme - lights shining directly on the glass made the glass look black. I'm sure people will still see in but perhaps not as much?!0 -
They're glass patio doors btw0

i got 7 of these :

and put low power LED bulbs in.
They are a nice finish. Worth a look.0 -
You could use any type of down light as long as it weatherproof eg use one suitable for a bathroom. I would go for a low energy bulb as they'll be switched on for quite long periods of time
The IP rating refers to the waterproofness of the fitting. I would recommend IP 65 for outdoor. The link posted above is IP44 which is not as good.

I would have said IP44 protection would be fine for soffits;
1st 4 - Level of solid paticle protection;
4 >1 mm Most wires, screws, etc.
2nd 4, Liquid Ingress Protection;
4 Splashing water Water splashing against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effect. Test duration: 5 minutes
Water volume: 10 litres per minute
Pressure: 80–100 kN/m²
IP65 is pretty much sealed - ideal for use in a shower but maybe overkill for a soffit , unless rain can fall upwards at a pressure of 30 kN/m² .
5 Water jets Water projected by a nozzle (6.3mm) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects. Test duration: at least 3 minutes
Water volume: 12.5 litres per minute
Pressure: 30 kN/m² at distance of 3m0
