PPI Queries: 2 Parter!

Hi!

I am brand new at this and am in need a bit of advice about reclaiming any PPI and find this confusing! This query is two parts and I beg forgiveness for anything already covered but there is so much information on here!

FIRST QUERY

I have written or contacted all credit companies I have had cards or loans with and asked for terms of the credit agreement, will this information tell me if I have agreed to PPI or if it was included in the terms and conditions?

Several of my cards have been balance transfers, will all lenders be liable for the PPI or just original lender? and which total will any claims be based on so:
hypothetically speaking:
Egg card-> balance transfer to BOI card--> balance transfer to virgin card. outstanding balance now £3k

With Virgin Card I have something through CPP that was sold on to me over the phone, I didnt fully understand what i was paying for and have only recently cancelled it when it automatically renewed and appeared on my statement for £92. I cancelled the direct debit three months prior to this and didnt update them with my new bank account details which is confusing! (although a different matter entirely!)

Query 2

For those of you still reading I appreciate your stamina!

OK so after a less than amicable breakup I realise that I may have been paying PPI on a mortgage I was 50/50 with my ex partner. Is there any way I can get the details for this without getting in contact with my ex? I may have to bite the bullet and get in touch with her I realise. and will it be worth it as I was only on the mortgage agreement for two years?
