hi i purchased some clarks jack nano shoe for my son in the sale...
he wore them 1 week before the xmas break and the last 3 days (8 school days wear) the sole has come away at the side...
i purchased them in the sale for £18
i plan to take them back today, i was wondering where i would stand on replacement shoes they have sold all the sale shoes in his size and all the shoes are now full price will i have to pay the difference?
anyone had this problem?

I bought my DS a pair of Jack Nano shoes in September - I always buy Clarks as they are a good quality shoe BUT the jack nano's are awful!
He wore them for a week and the sole became clear (in addition to where the jack nano sits) so the sole instead of being rubber was just painted plastic!
The plastic part on the upper of the shoe started to frey, the part around the tongue rubbed away and showed white bare material, sole tread had almost gone.
Really poor, I took them back and they said it was just 'normal wear and tear' - after 1 week of school use! Appalling!
After 1 months wear they looked like he'd been wearing them for about 5 years, falling apart left, right and center! I took them back again and stood my ground ended up swapping for a leather shoe which after being worn for nearly 3 months still looks brand new!
The reviews for the Jack Nanos on clarks website basically discribe the same problem you are experiencing, I would think that if you swap the shoes then you'll pay no extra however if you want to swap to a different shoe you'll have to pay the extra.0 -

The sale price is irrelevant as far as quality goes. The fact you paid £18 is by the by; as you say they should still last.
However, assuming you have your receipt (or other proof of purchase) and take them back, Clarks should offer you a remedy. That remedy simply has to put you back in the position you were before you bought the shoes. If you opt for a refund then they will only refund you the £18 as that's all you paid.0 -
I have had a similiar situation. I was sold sale shoes that were incorrectly fitted. Went back and they substituted full price shoes (same style, different colour) and did not charge me any extra.0
