    Re saving petrol receipts, it all depends on how your friend plans on charging the mileage to the tax man - I work mine out at a flat rate of 40p per mile, which covers fuel, tax, running expenses and is the rate the tax man gives. When you're talking about receipts, that's fine if ALL the fuel is going on business expenses (if you use a company van etc.) but if (like me) you use a family car, you can't charge all the fuel expenses to the business.
    Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
