Washing Maching Insurance?

Hi all

I'm paying £7.99 for a washing maching repair contract - I took it out in lieu of paying a one-off fee when I had an electrical fault with the machine (big bangs coming from the kitchen and tripping electrics, and not even switched on!) but since then (18 months ago) it has been working fine (touch wood) and I am out of the minimum period now, so is it worth it? or should I cancel? It's a 4 year old hotpoint washer dryer.

As with all these appliance insurances, you rarely have major problems in the first few years. This is how the companies make money from you.

As is recommended on this site and by others, put the money in a bank account and when something does go wrong, just pay for it to be repaired. If nothing goes wrong, you're quids in!
