Advice on possible EGR valve problem please
Evening everyone - I'm throwing my girly self at your mercy as I really need some urgent advice on my Focus Estate.
Bought the car in October 11 and just before Xmas, the engine management light came on - returned to the car sales place who advised it was probably the EGR valve which needed cleaning, which they did and all seemed OK. They advised it was a problem with Fords and particularly diesels and a good clean would sort it out.
The next day the management light came back on, although the car is driving fine. Managed to get hold of car sales place between xmas and new year and explained problem to owners wife as owner apparently not in - I advised I would call just after new year but wanted to be assured that the 3 month warranty would still hold as this wasn't a new problem but one that clearly hadn't been fixed.
Have tried calling repeatedly and they promise to call back but am getting the brush off - will be going to see them tomorrow but want to know what I can expect them to do about the problem, which clearly hasnt been resolved.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get them to replace under warranty. Cleaning won't fix the problem and it will keep happening. As soon as the warranty is out they will refuse to do anything and charge you to replace.0

probably the EGR?
Also could probably be something else, many things cause the EM light to illuminate.
Diagnostics may give the garage a clue where to look.0
