Won an auction at the weekend, paid by Paypal immediately. Today noticed my seller with 99.8% and 9108 feedback is NARU.
Straight away lodged a Paypal complaint, immediately upgraded it to a claim on grounds that the seller may be trading fraudulently, and within two minutes, the cash is refunded back into my account CASE CLOSED. I said in my claim that I was happy to re-pay the seller if the goods did arrive.......why else would he NARU unless it was for nefarious reasons.
Was I justified in taking this course of action? I wanted the money refunded immediately before the seller had a chance to empty his accounts.
Is Paypal's excellent response normal, bearing in mind they get a pretty awful press from places like this?

You can be NARU because you're late paying your fees. It's not always nefarious.
That said, paypal have more information about why someone was NARU, and that may have affected their swift decision. My TV is broken!
