Washing machine problems

Wondered if anyone could advise me?
During the last week, my washing machine has started leaving what looks like purple dye marks on some items that have been washed.
This has happened 3 times this week, and each wash has been a pale wash or a white wash, so it's not like the colour has run. I use powder in the drawer, and a white fabric condition, so not sure it could be residue from this. Has anyone else encountered this problem? The stains don't wash out either.
A couple of times I have tried running a boil wash with no clothes in to see if the drum needed washing but it has still done it again.
As my name suggests, my finances aren't up to a new washer!

Have you checked & thoroughly cleaned the interior & exterior of the rubber door seal? Only grime builds up here over the months that can result in leaving marks on clothes. So it's a good idea to get into the habit of checking & cleaning this every few months. Use something that is a good degreaser; something like Stardrops, or Fairy Liquid plus a good dollop of vinegar on a microcloth should do the job.
Oh & for stains on clothes, have you tried Ace fabric bleach? I find it a marvelous product & you can often pick it up in Poundland if you are lucky. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
I do try and get into the seal but the rubber is quite tough so can't always get in properly. Will definitely try those products though thank you.0
