Help needed ASAP please

Hi all
Really hoping i can get a quick fix to this.
I am currently decorating my mums bedroom as a surprise whilst she is in hospital. Today i have washed the brand new duvet cover exactly as the label said on a 40 degree wash and all the colour has run so the cream and lilac duvet is now pink and lilac.
I know you are meant to try a a fix-it as soon as possible after this happens so can anyone help me out big time with a way to sort this out

Thanks in advance

Ali

  • If it is a "brand new duvet cover" and you've washed it "exactly as the label said on a 40 degree wash" then don't do anything to it. Seems it needs to go back to the shop where it was purchased. All you need is the receipt, then get to the shop tomorrow morning and get it exchanged or ask for the money back.

If you've got the wrapper that's fine, but if thrown away don't worry as the manufacturing fault has only been discovered after you've attempted to use the product. Good luck.

Failing that - get to a good supermarket and see if they sell Colour run remover (usually in with the detergent section). Not used it myself but thats what its
    sold to do...!
  • Thanks for the advice, i brought it in a shop on ebay, have emailed them but they're out of the office until Monday so have gone out and got something called mr beeker colour run remover and am currently giving that a go so will wait and see
