Hi all,
Just a little bit of advice is needed - if my employer is served with a winding-up notice from a creditor what are their obligations in terms of paying out to employees?
Are we entitled to anything akin to redundancy pay or is it more of a goodnight vienna situation?
Thanks.

You would get redundancy pay from somewhere along with anything else due, either from you employer or the government.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thanks for you help, it's not a happy time for a lot of people out there at the moment. Lets hope it gets better.0

Hope things turn around for your employer, I was made redundant last August after 25 years with the company, I was quite happy about it becuase I was about to decide to retire, so it worked out quite well for me. But I have been there a long time ago x 2 so I know how you feelmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I have known employees who realise that they are not going to be paid remove stock or equipment. Not that I'm suggesting for a moment that you should consider such a course of action."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0

And not that you should either. It's called theft.0 -
