Insurance Renewal

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if I could pick your brains! I'm currently with a car insurance company who have sent me a renewal notice for £400. The thing is, I've just moved flat and will need to change my address details - something that will cost £25.

I've looked on various comparison websites (entering my new address) and the company I'm already with is coming out cheapest at £300! With cashback through Quidco, it (eventually) ends up at just £260. Therefore, is it possible to tell my insurer not to renew and then get on the internet and take out a new policy at my new address but with the same company, saving me £140?

Hope that all makes sense!

Many thanks.

  • Yes go ahead and do it. I've done it myself a number of times and actually spoke with one insurer prior to renewal when this occurred. They actually told me to renew via the internet:rotfl:
