Returning Shoes to Footlocker?

Hey all. On the 29th I bought a pair of white Converse trainers from a Footlocker store. Wore them once, and there is now weird yellow marks (looks like glue marks?) coming out from the toe bit of the shoe. Would I be able to return these?
< They're White like these, and have weird yellowy marks now coming away from the rubber part at the front.

What can I do in regards to this?

One idea might be to have a read of MSE's Consumer Rights guide.

Another idea is to paint over the yellowy marks with Tippex or something similar.

Hi Chris,

Effectively, you're wanting to know if the item would be considered faulty - without seeing them it's hard to tell you for sure.

If, however, the item were proven to be faulty then you could certainly take them back. That said, the manufacturing process involves sticking the sole to the shoe with glue. If it doesn't stop the trainer being fit for purpose then more often than not you probably won't get too far. Certainly worth a try though!

Yeah. I'm debating just keeping them..hmm.

Not saying it's the case, but I'll bet that Footlocker will say you've just stained them...
