They have now sent me an email saying I need to bring id, ie passport with me,....Is this normal ??? we will have £200k deposit and only want 100k mortage max, and not going through them,,,,,,,,so is this normal ???

It's an underhand way of making you see their mortgage advisor.
All you need to do is show your AIP to them or give them the contact number of your mortgage broker. You ARE seeing an independent, whole of market one, aren't you!?
You don't have to see their person at all.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
