DMP and PPI Payout

Hi, I have just been told I will a PPI claim payout for a loan I had.

I am currently in a DMP and this loan is included in the DMP and I make monthly payments to that loan via the DMP company.

The loan company say they will subtract any arrears from the loan before sending me the balance by cheque.

Are they allowed to do this given that all creditors on my DMP must be treated fairly? Surely any payments must be split fairly with my creditors?

Thanks

No - any of your debtors is entitled to set off money they owe you against money you owe them.

This applies even in the event of bankruptcy.
