does not clicking yes to junk mail limited my chances of winning?

Hi, i'm pretty new at comping but have entered over 400 comps with the past 10 days or so

I am wondering though, i always say i DONT want further information etc. but will this affect my chances of winning in comps

Would it be better to get a new email address and just click yes to the info?

Thanks

I also wonder about this, anyone got any views. I always press no to more info and win the odd thing. But nothing on the scale of some MSE'er you lucky lucky things :) I do enter hundreds a week too

You should definitely get another email address, not because it affects your chance of winning, but just because some comps there isn't a choice to opt out! I opt out whenever I'm given the opportunity, and still win a fair amount - I really don't think it makes a difference. However I still get 100-200 emails a day which have built up from the comps where you can't opt out - some of them the way to enter is to sign up to their newsletter, for example.

Interestingly, during a debate on facebook earlier about an issue with a comp, the company mentioned that they always made the newsletter option optional for people entering comps, because they didn't want it going out to those who weren't interested, as they paid more the more people received it. And actually, that's the case for the company we use to produce and send out newsletters at my work, so makes sense.

No unless its a email signup. I always put no contact and have won

    Best of luck

I asked this question here when I started comping in June, and I can't find the thread now but several posters told me that they always opt out and they win plenty.

I won on the Tesco Direct Xmas comp and opted out of info every time I entered (oddly enough not because I don't want the info but I already get it on a non-comping email addy!) and it obviously didn't affect my chances there.
