Mortgage mppi reclaim

Hi guys I hope someone can give me some advice.

I took out a mortgage with northern rock back in 2005 via a mortgage adviser, he advised me it was best I took out the mortgage insurance cover with Cardiff Pinnacle insurance to help me get accepted for the mortgage.

What chances do I have in reclaiming the mppi?

And what should my next steps be?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Yam

If your only complaint reason is a verbal accusation you cant prove then probably near zero is your chance.

If people were allowed to get refunds on an unproven accusation like that, then everyone would just complain and get refunds on their insurance. So, it is a complaint reason that is easily rejected.

If you still wish to complain then you complain to the broker. The broker will check their files to see if there is anything that says it is mandatory (there wont be) and then reject your complaint.

If you want to get an MPPI complaint upheld you will need more than that.

No it is a an unsubstantiated allegation. In the absence of evidence to the investigator there is no "surely".

The law says "he who asserts must prove". You seem to have nothing with which to prove your assertion.

Absolutely. You provide your evidence that it was said and you will get your case upheld. No evidence, no upheld decision because they dont know if it was said or whether you are making it up.
