Aldo shoes have holes in the soles in 2.5 months after purchase

Hello, I am looking for advice on how to go around getting a refund for the £60 shoes I purchased on the 11th of October last year and already on 20th of December I noticed my feet are getting wet everytime it rains, I checked the soles and there two wholes: one at the ball of the foot it's a crack actually, and another at the heel it has been completely worn down. I haven't even been wearing them everyday, I think that's very bad quality and would like to get my money back, but never had to do such a thing so have no experience. Also on the same day I got a belt from Dorothy Perkins and it's also very poor quality, has stretched out and the lining had come undone and the belt unglued and basically doesn't perform to hold up the trousers. Any advice will greatly appreciated.

posting an update on the situation,

2 days ago I finally went down to Aldo and explained the situation with the shoes, I didn't have the receipt, but brought down my bank statement showing I did indeed pay £60 for the shoes. They refused to accept it, as it doesn't prove which shoes I paid for exactly. They had a word with the manager and showed him the shoes and they came to a solution - offer my an exchange for the price the shoes are at now. And they are on sale, so 30% less. They said I can chose any shoes I want and pay the difference. I ended up choosing shoes from the same line, just a different design since they no longer had the same design in stock due to sale. I had to pay £3.50 on top since the new shoes were a bit more expensive. All in all I was impressed with the way they handles the situation, but I do know these shoes will fall apart in 2.5 months time too. Won't be buying trainers from them for sure. My Primark £4 trainers lasted longer than that.

I'd go and get the new ones resoled immediately if I were you, OP. They'll last much longer, then. Of course, it would have been cheaper just to get the original ones resoled!
