Just applied for a Virgin Credit Card.
Everything went through okay, However this is the message i recived at the end of the application.

I personally think they'll reject me !
Advice and help will be much appreciated

You've been referred - not an instant rejection but not an instant acceptance. It means a person will look at your application rather than just a computer, or that is being referred to the underwriters to make a decision.
Happens to a lot of people, some are subsequently accepted, some are subsequently declined.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Give them a ring and they will go through the details straight away with the credit department and tell you whether you have been successful.0

Do they tend to give lower limits to applications that are referred and instant acceptance given higher limits?

I would think that once you are accepted regardless of the means then the internal system decides on your credit limit in the same way.0
