Best time to book holidays

Options
Hi,

I'm looking to book our honeymoon for May next year but most places seem to only have prices for up to April.

I was wondering if people would recommend waiting it out until next years January sales to get a better deal or if there are other times where I can find a bargain.

For a bit more info, it's Virgin Holidays we're mostly looking at as they seem to have more of the places we would want to go to.

Many Thanks,

Craig

    Hi,

It's always a difficult one. We booked our honeymoon for this September in May last year when the hotel & prices became availble. The holiday we have is still availble but on looking today the cost is around £300 more than we paid! So I'm glad we booked when it first came out. In the last few years things seem to have been more expensive the longer you leave it, certainly the places we have been looking anyway.
Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

It is impossible to answer your question, it all depends on supply and demand. If you really insist on Virgin Holidays, book direct with them as they always undercut travel agents, which is why more agents look to book with other operators. Virgin Holidays are vey profitable because they are generally more expensive to start with, so don't just look at Virgin

May 2013 dont go on sale until may 2012 unless they get delayed as in 2010. It all depends on how many requirements you have as to how early you book, if your flexible keep looking and wait until you think you've got a bargain. But as its your honeymoon i'd book earlier rather than later and try several operators its amazing how much the price can vary for the same thing.
