I'm so sorry you are all dealing with this. It isn't fair; you and your children deserve much better.

I feel guilty for sounding off now as the CM money was in the account this morning, and is for the full amount, which is obviously great and a great relief. I know I am in a much better position than many people, as I am lucky enough to be able to not need this money and some people get nothing (Hugs M21), I don't know how you manage, you are super-mums.

beautiful spring morning here, hope it is with you all too, and you get to enjoy some of it.

I agree..having to deal with the politics and boll£x that goes with ex-OHs should be dealt with much more strictly by the CSA etc..it's the kids that ultimately are the losers as well. I am fortunate that my OH has stuck around for the last 15 years. We drive each other mad at times but never enough to end it. I thank my lucky stars that he is not that petty. The whole sunglasses saga really made me choke into my cornflakes LL...it's astonishing that he threatened it even if he didn't go through with it

Hope rest of week goes well for everyone

I'm so glad he saw sense in the end (mean that in the nicest of ways).

I guess for me I'm lucky as in 9 1/2yrs we've only had £60 CSA money, so it effectively was a bonus, as I live with family, don't have the household bills that others do, I contribute towards bills etc, but not as the sole person in the house.

9 and a half years though M, it isn't fair.

    brought lunch from home today,:)
was going to walk into work but didn't :(

I am at my highest weight ever, I think I even weigh more now than I did when 9 month pregnant. I've weighed myself in kilogramms because I can't bear seeing the stones and lbs, and although I know the conversion calculation I'm refusing to do it. I now only have 2 pairs of trousers that fit, and they are a squeeze, so I have to tackle that, when I bend or sit now the fat on my belly is a physical barrier to moving the way I used to, it doesn't feel like a part of me, it feels like an appendage strapped on that is making everything difficult.

and DS has asked that for his birthday I give up smoking, because he saw on one of the packets that it can cause an early death and he doesn't want to live with a guardian, it was all I could do to not cry. i hate smoking. can't get to GP before sat (his birthday) for an appointment so may buy some patches to do it.

Ah sweetheart, sounds like you need a big hug, - bless DS, if only it was that easy, I don't smoke, but can totally agree with you re weight and food, ditto, I weigh more than when i was 9mths gone, and weight just gone up over last yr. I just live in joggy bottoms, leggings, and elastic trs when i have to go out.

You can only tackle one thing at a time,

Smoking - isn't there a thing through the chemists that do free patches and treatment, its not going to be an overnight way, what about sitting down with your son, and say that yes you want to gove up smoking, and create a plan with him, book in with the GP, even if its a weeks time.
I can't remember how old ur son is, but if he's younger (say under 10), why not do reverse psychologically - reward chart, - every day that you cut back, or what ever the plan is get a star, then after xx amount of stars, u both get a treat. Doesn't have to be big expensive like a theme park, maybe have that as xx months down the line, the money you save from non-smoking even if you put 50% on debts, 50% into a treats jar - that would go for the big treat.

Weight - I can't say do x,y,z, - as if I jump on a scales they would say please get off and weigh one at a time... for me I have yo-yo with weight, I lost about 2 stone last yr, gone back on, but mines comfort + stress eating, - for me until I can get this court case saga sorted then I know I'm not in the right frame of mind, and yes its not helping my health, but Rome wasn't built in a day.

Maybe tackle one at a time, u take care xxxxxx

Thanks both, your posts are full of great ideas and I'm very grateful for your kind wordsand support.
A star chart is a great idea M21, I've promised DS so many times before that I'd stop and have for weeks, months or even years at a time (the latter when pregnant - that's not going to happen again). I really don't want to disapoint him again. Will ask the chemist tonight.

I had a good day yesterday eating-wise, salads, protein etc (all from home) no comfort eating, no boredom eating, no stress eating (was a fairly uneventful day).:A

I need a new thing I do when sad/stressed if eating junk, buying junk and smoking are going to be out of the window!

Payday today, all shuffled and I had enough money in accounts yesterday before pay landed to cover my current account overdraft which means I have CLEARED my overdraft.:j

really need to keep it that way, think I will cut up the card and try to deal in cash only until I am used to that overdraft facility not being "available" money - halifax charge me £1 per day whether I go 1p or £950 overdrawn so once I go over the threshold there's a big "sod-it" incentive to just spend.

Kids need shoes and I've not budgetted any spends for me, so am going to rejuggle budget for next moth and plan to pay off less.

also must kick self up behind and list stuff on ebay.

Keep going LL.. Your post is full of good solid stuff for sorting the problems. I had a major blip today when I realised that I was making pennies ( comparatively!) on things like EBay whilst we were still spending £00s on additional things that weren't in the budget...aggggh. It's so hard at times keeping to the DFW road!

I think giving up the fags would be a great boost for you, your DS and the boost it would give to your purse is not to be sniffed at. Remember Georgie babes has put 37p on fags as of tonight!!!!

    Hugs
