Got your click strategy sorted out for the Hazard Perception part?

Click once when you think you've seen a hazard they're on about. Click again shortly afterwards to make sure it registered inside the scoring window (it's possible to click too early). Consider clicking a third time if the situation develops.

I passed the Hazard Perception first time but it really is a load of !!!!!!!!. It's all about when to click to make sure you get inside the scoring window, it's nothing like real driving and is a rubbish test of driver observation. It's like a very bad computer game.

I bought my daughter some of the CD/DVD's from various shops.

I tried it and failed, When i reviewed the video and scoring i was clicking way too early.

I had spotted the dangers and clicked before the scoring started. Dont make a pattern of clicks though
Click twice for some and 3 times for others but dont make it a pattern just in case it thinks your trying to cheat.

The good old Highway Code might be useful
    .....

  • My wife is a driving instructor and advises her students to use the Highway Code and also some of the commercial software titles that are available. Driving Test Success is one of her favourites as it also includes Hazard Perception tests as well.

Be aware that the test itself is changing from 23rd January as per this link http://www.theory-test.co.uk/asp/dsa_theory_test_changes_2012.asp

Yeah i was told about the update a couple of days ago, But when you think about it there are not that many questions
    left from the published ones.

Its all in the highway code somewhere. Make sure it becomes regular bedtime reading.

  • When I took mine I was so nervous I couldn't sleep the night before - so i loaded up on redbull and scored about 96% on the hazzard lol it makes your reactions quick

    Debt-free and Proud!
Probably changed a lot since I did it 11 years ago, but I remember most of the questions insulted my intelligence, and I only glanced through the highway code. Most of it is common sense. I did get one wrong, as I never knew there was such thing as a recommended speed limit. Still don't think I've ever seen one on road.

So yeah, don't fret about it. If you're able to dress yourself in the morning, you can probably pass the theory without too much hassle.
