Hmmmmmm has anyone else had a phone call saying there is a problem with delivery of the Nero set? They're saying that it has been delivered to the warehouse but needs to be sent out from there so instead of expecting it tomorrow, I now have to wait until Tuesday !
I WANT extra clubcard points for this ! Grrrrrrrrrr
Not a happy bunny !!! Anyone have the email for the big wig please?
Ta muchly xx
So to recap, you got a bargain that that loads of people were unlucky not to get. They ran out, but instead of sending you a sorry email like other people got you are getting a slightly delayed delivery from the new stock coming in and you want to email in to complain. Now that's sad! Chill pills however are free. :rotfl::beer:0 -

Just for clarification, here is the problem in a nutshell:
I ordered and paid for my product (Nero Patio set) online on Thursday 10 April 2008. I selected a delivery date (Friday 18th April) and completed the transaction.
This evening, I have received a telephone call from Customer Services, informing me that there is a problem with the delivery and could I telephone the courier company direct to arrange an alternative delivery time.
Now, forgive me for being frugal, but surely it should be up to Customer Services to telephone the courier company and ask them to telephone me ! Obviously I telephoned as instructed, at cost to myself. I was, however, given the wrong telephone number ! I then had to ring Customer Services back (costing me yet more money!) to obtain the telephone number of the courier company. Kindly, they put me through directly.
After speaking to the courier company, it transpires that the item arrived at Crewe this afternoon and it has to be forwarded to Thurrock depot for despatch to myself. I was then told that it would not be possible to deliver tomorrow, but that they could offer me an alternative delivery of Tuesday 22nd April (a.m.) I explained that I was disappointed as I really wanted to receive the item by this weekend. I explained that we had family coming to stay and we had planned our first bbq of the season. Obviously, now, we have nowhere to sit or a table to eat at ! The courier company then advised that they would ring me back with a definitive time for delivery on the 22nd April.
I then received another telephone call from somebody else of the said courier company, who had no prior knowledge of the previous phone call and my husband had to reiterate the whole scenario again. My husband was then told that delivery on the later arranged date of 22nd April was 'highly unlikely'. At this point, my husband pointed out that he was a transport manager for the largest building materials company in the UK. The caller from the courier company then seemed to get rather flustered, after my husband pointed out that the item could be couriered to me within 24 hours if they really wanted to. It could feasibly be done. So, therefore, the Tuesday delivery WAS possible.
I am now waiting on yet another call from the courier company to see if the Tuesday 22nd April delivery will be possible.
I do work and cannot merely sit in and wait for my item to arrive, especially as I am totally unsure of when exactly it will arrive.
So, maybe before you complain about people complaining you should get the whole story first !!!:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
Maybe....Or maybe you didn't give the whole story first. Options....maybe pick it up from Thurrock (more expense) or maybe cancel the order! Decisions decisions! If it's any consolation the weather forecast for the weekend is rain, his email by the way is god@hotmail.co.uk
You clearly are frustrated but the point I was making (in a half harted way) was that all you are likely to do is wind yourself up further, however you are very unlikely to cancel the order and sure you can write in and complain but if they haven't got the goods in time for that days dispatch they are unlikely to give you a same day courier service (unless you offer to pay for it). I agree the mis communication on the last call is poor and you should always take the name of any person you speak to.
I'm surprised given your husbands position that he doesn't pick up the phone to the transport manager/director of the courier and discuss a solution with them.

Thank you OP my Nero Garden Set arrived yesterday 17/4/08 as estimated.
As others have done, took the Tesco Sim instore for a refund.
So @ £14.99 an excellent buy.
Great Bargain.:beer:0 -
Had a lovely email from Customer Services Exec. today, apologising for the muck up with my delivery and sorting it all out for me :T . Restored my faith and, contrary to what some believe, just goes to show they do still have great customer service (you just have to know who to complain to ! lol)
Thank you Mr T !:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
i have had 3 different delivery dates so far for the nero and so i am still waiting but i don't mind as i am not in a hurray for it...i also received a call from tesco telling me to ring and arrange collection but the number they gave me to arrange delivery was actually tesco and not a courier company so the wires are getting crossed somewhere...fingers crossed for april 26th delivery now.0
