consider the Citroen Picasso. Very roomy can fit 5 people with no problem plus luggage etc. Low running costs too. Look out for the 2.0 Diesel version.0

As above, or the Ford Focus has a decent back seat.
Also consider the Renault Scenic

We have recently bought a Vauxhall Zafira, It has 7 seats but it's not as big as other MPV's but plently big enough for 2a & 3c

I would recommend the picasso as well, I have the 2.0 diesel exclusive on average get 500 miles to a tank but It could do more, i can fit a wheelchair in the boot as well as shopping and have had 5 adults travel comfotably as the rear seats move independently. There are isofix points on the two outer rear seats for car seats should you want them. Plenty of small stowaway areas as well.
BIL has a zafira and finds he has to use the fold down seats for comfort as 2 of the children still have car seatsWeight loss since 01/08/07 - 72 lbs:j0 -
Thanks I will have a look around
