Not expecting MSE's to have used this outfit but did anyone see the "Whistle Blowers" programme on TV tonight about them ? Quite an eye-opener - you expect sharp practice but this just blew me away.

  • "Yes Car Credit" and all their employees were so awful they made the Provident saleswoman almost look like a kind fairy godmother!

But what did surprise me was why people actually bought cars from that company, and then took out comprehensive insurance costing £4,000, etc. etc. Although the company behaved dreadfully, there's not a lot can be done for people who are terminally stupid.

I can understand how you can spiral into more and more debt with something like the smallish loans from Provident, £250 here, £400 there, and then fall for the clever talking about how to pay it all off in one go ..... but I don't understand going into so much debt for a car that was a bit of a luxury considering the young family's circumstances. Although I felt sorry for the young couple and their children, I wasn't really too upset at the sight of them having to stand at a bus-stop! At least there was a bus-stop for them to stand at - the one's I feel sorry for are those who live nowhere near public transport, or where the service is only something like twice a day.

Still ...... none of that excuses "Yes Car Credit", their dreadful sales manager, or the manager of the repair shop. They should all be blacklisted - or prosecuted!
