kashflow?

Options
anyone used it?
i got a small plastering company, need normally to do 20-30 quotes and 10 or so invoices, chasing up payments etc which takes some time

today a client did show me this cash flow 15 a month rent though seemed to round up lots of things in 1 page... could even give''restricted'' access to my accountant when vat time cames in so she can look at expenses and invoices..

any alternative?

  • Hi Radsteral,
I promote Kashflow through my business and I can honestly say it's brilliant. Cloud accounting is the way forward.

HOWEVER - at ten transactions a month and 20-30 quotes, I'm thinking you would be better off either with your own systems, Excel etc or a free software like VT cashbook. Whilst it would benefit you in terms of ease and obviously, third party access for your accoutnant, your business is low volume and you wouldn't get the benefits a larger business would as your accounts will be so easy to maintain manually. All I'm thinking is that it's an ongoing cost that a small business doesn;t need when there are free and comparable options available.

Like I say, I promote it and it;s fab but I don't use it myself as I wouldn't get value for money at my transaction level.
  • Hi,

Have you thought about trying Business Accountz from Accountz.com?

They offer a free 30 day trial of the product with support.

There are no monthly charges for the product, it's a one off payment.:)

Another two worth looking at are AccountsPortal and FreeAgent. AccountsPortal is the cheapest at £8 per month.

I'm not a huge fan of online accounts packages but it does look the way things are going and it's definately something we're currently looking at. There's also much more scope for designing your own invoices/quotes with the online solutions.
