We get it at the moment, but I have just been made redundant, I have done 2 benefits calculators and it says we are no longer entitled even though my partner works part time on min wage, It says child tax credit will go up a bit though

How many hours does your partner work?:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Sounds wrong. If you get WTC now then you'll be getting max CTC so it won't go up.If your partner works 16 hours then you'll still get WTC, though only till April.0

Why only till April. And why do they ask for earnings from 10/11? I'm not working now.0

Because the rules are changing in April, couples will have to work 24 hours. And tax credits are based on previous year earnings, though they can be adjusted based on current year (if income drops or goes up by more than £10k).0 -
There may not be much of a difference to your tax credits. They currently work from last year as stated however if you want them to reassess to this year your total income will be your income from April-date plus partners income for full year. There is no disregard if you give them this as an estimate so if you were to use that figure and get another job before the end of the tax year you would have an overpayment. Your childcare element will obviously stop if you are not both working.0
